Perron Rigot first distinguished itself in the 1970s with our patented low-temperature recyclable waxes, a first generation of waxes with unequalled comfort and softness.

In the 1980s, after observing the properties of chewing gum and its effect, the company invented the first non-strip hard waxes with our internationally patented elastomers. This innovative thin gel film encapsulates the hair without sticking to the skin, and gave rise to the first original hard wax beads, our famous American Cirepil Blue Wax. Cirepil Blue is still number 1 in the United States today.

In the 2000’s, we created a new segment and the first hypoallergenic waxes without rosin. Our most recent innovation, the first COSMOS certified professional waxes standing for safety and preservation of the planet. Innovation does not stop with the formulas. Our new packaging – Doypacks that are fully recyclable, made from recycled materials and use production processes that follow the strictest EU standards today. FROM 1936 TO 2021

PERRON RIGOT A WAXING PIONEER

1936

Mr. Perron and Mr. Rigot, pharmacists, created a laboratory in their names to manufacture various cosmetic products. At a time when the first paid vacations were being introduced in France, they were visionaries and decided to follow the evolution of customs and anticipate the development of the leisure society. They created a suntan oil and a depilatory wax. After the war, the brand accompanied the development of beauty salons and supplied many beauticians in Paris and its region.

1972

1st patent for low temperature recyclable waxes.
Mr. des Garets, a perfumer by trade from Jean Patou, took over the company with the conviction that it was time to revolutionize the depilatory wax offer, to become a genuine skin care product and In 1975, he inaugurated the first manufacturing site in Thoré-La-Rochette, in the Loir-et-Cher region.

2004

Perron Rigot was acquired by the Thalgo Cosmetic group. This group is already well established in the world of beauty and cosmetics. Aware of the vital role played by waxing in beauty salons and convinced of the exceptional quality of Perron Rigot waxes, the group’s president, Jean-Claude Sirop, believed that waxing should be considered the primary form of beauty care.
